Sussex Covid-19 BAME Disparity Response Programme

Coronavirus affects different people in different ways. For some it can be a totally asymptomatic infection, whilst for others, it can sadly be fatal.

In response to the stark data showing that our Black Asian and Minority Ethnic communities are more likely to be affected by Covid-19, a Sussex wide programme has been created, with the aims to;

  • better understand the experiences and challenges faced by local BAME communities during Covid-19 and
  • use that information to inform and challenge our services to better support and protect you during the pandemic and beyond

In order to make a positive impact on our communities, we need to understand your experiences of health care services within the last two years, how the pandemic has affected you and your household, and consider best ways to support you and your community as we learn to live with Covid-19.
